Good with crunchy breadsticks
3 cups Split Peas
1 Carrot, chopped
2 stalks celery, diced
1 small onion, diced
10 cups water
8 tsp. Chicken boullion granules
2 Cups diced lean Ham
1 Tbsp dried basil
¼. – ½ tsp pepper
Place all ingredients in crock-pot and cook on low 8-10 hrs. (This soup gets thicker after it has been cooled)
