Macaroni & Cheese (Stove-Top Style)

AVERAGE RATING: 4 votes / 4.5 Stars 2 cups elbow macaroni 1½ Tbsp butter 1½ Tbsp white flour 1½ cups skim milk ¼ tsp salt ¼ tsp black pepper 1½ cups (6 oz) shredded low-fat cheddar cheese Cook macaroni according to package directions. In medium saucepan, melt butter. Add flour. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly. Cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Stir in salt and pepper. Remove pan from heat. Add cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Stir macaroni into cheese sauce. 6 servings, each serving has 292 calories, 10g fat, 23g carbohydrate, 28g protein, 3g fiber
